he was as good as any encyclopedia, he was great

James in Redmond, OR, 2011

Selcuk was truly outstanding. He was very knowledgeable, very well organized, exceptionally entertaining and friendly. He provided so many little extra touches, such as summarizing the latest newspaper articles as we were travelling. We appreciate the pride he feels in his country, and our trip will always be very special because of having Selcuk as our tour guide.

Janice in RR1 Lone Butte, BC, 2011

Our guide was the best. He was funny and so well informed about his country and history in general. He made every effort to accommodate each person. It showed that he loved his job and his country.

John in Boise, ID, 2011

Selcuk was an exceptional guide. He has all the necessary tools, has a great sense of humor and is very well versed on Turkey's history. It was always apparent that he loves his country I would go on any tour if I learned Selcuk was to be the guide!

Arnon in San Francisco, CA, 2011

Appreciated Selcuk's knowledge about the history and the historic cultures of Turkey. He was very accessible, mingled with the entire group and answered our questions or got the answers. Very educational! He suggested the local foods to try, which contributed to a memorable experience of local cuisine.

Anthony Merkins,2011

Selcuk was an extremely knowledgeable guide with a seemingly vast grasp of many different issues both inside and surrounding Turkey.

David in Santa Clara, CA, 2011

Good

Cesar in La Habra, CA, 2011

Ayse was well informed with every aspect of Turkish culture, including local customs and national movements. I felt that my time spend with her was invaluable; she is a true teacher who only enhanced the progress of our trip every step of the way. I would definitely like to have someone like Ayse along for every Turkish trip I take.

Douglas in La Habra, CA, 2011

Ayse was super and alot of fun. She is very knowledgeable and her current events from the paper each day was interesting.

Leslie Boomerant,2011

Selcuk was friendly, fun and knowledgeable. He provided suggestions to those who wanted to do their own exploring and managed the tour well. He both educated and entertained the group about history, geography, customs and food.

Lynn in The Woodlands, TX, 2011

Selcuk was a real gem of a guide. Technically correct from the outset, he was able from the beginning to elicit humor from the group. As we all became better acquainted, Selcuk's natural manner enabled him to keep us moving, occupied, and entertained. He was sensitive to personal needs as they arose. It seemed to me that each of us came quickly to accept Selcuk as a personal friend; it takes a person with exceptional qualities to foster such a reaction within a group of strangers in such a short time. I have nothing but the highest opinion of Selcuk as a guide, but more, as a pleasant, highly social, and caring person.

* Tell us about the performance of your driver

Mehmet was wonderful and made us all feel safe. He is a wonderful driver and I never felt that we were not in great hands!

Larry in Powder Springs, GA, 2011

I that he was a real professional. I felt that he was careful as well as very skillful

Ted in Redwood City, CA2011

Outstanding in every way. He was a very careful driver, took excellent care of the bus, inside and outside, and tried very hard to get us parked in a convenient location to get off and on in some very difficult places and traffic conditions.

Percy in Redwood City, CA, 2011

our driver was the best!

Norma in Springfield, OR, 2011

Our driver was very cautious and responsive to all our needs. Give him a raise.

Barbara in Menlo Park, CA, 2011

No problem with driving. Driver was competent/not scary.

Sheila in Eugene, OR, 2011

as good as the guide , they wooked well togeather

James in Redmond, OR, 2011

Our driver was very accommodating. When we finished touring, he was always there to let us board the bus while waiting for the rest of the group..

Larry in RR1 Lone Butte, BC, 2011

Excellent, knew his job well.

Betty in Boise, ID, 2011

The driver, whose name I cannot pronounce, was quite proficient. He did not speak English and of course I don't speak Turkish, so communication was left to nods and smiles.

Leo in San Francisco, CA, 2011

* Could our office have better oriented and prepared you for your tour?

I think you did a good job giving reading lists, etc........... Maybe more of a push to get people to do some reading would be OK, just so they would be partly familiar with cities, sites, history and cultural issues.

Donald in Eugene, OR, 2010

No, I felt that your office provided everything I needed to be prepared for my trip.

Virginia in Shoreline, WA, 2010

Perhaps more information on money-- how much to take, which denominations, and general info on exchange, etc.

Julie in Redmond, WA, 2010

You know you are excellent! I don't know how I could have been better served

Brenda in Bremerton, WA, 2010

No, but I could have prepared better than I did.

Michael in Seabeck, WA, 2010

No....Well done

Tom in Surrey, BC, 2010

just keep telling me to pack less, but I may never learn.

Margaret in Oakland, CA, 2010

Pre -tour literature and communications were adequate

Nancy in Flossmoor, IL, 2010

* Do you have any more comments about your tour?

definitely a winner - as you know!

Charles in Seattle, WA, 2011

We learned so much about Turkey and it's people. Everything wa more than we could have hoped for.

Bob in Milton, ON, 2011

Turkey is a magical, astonishing place, worth a repeat trip or two. It has everything--beaches, mountains, plains, cities, long history, strategic location. A visit to Turkey should be "mandatory" for anyone who wants to understand current political events in Europe, the middle east or the caucuses.

Harry in Minnetonka, MN, 2011

I'd love to go to eastern Turkey.

Patricia in Wynne, AR, 2011

Turkey as a destination is very under rated. It's a pleasant, friendly place with a very deep history.

Frances in Austin, TX, 2011

I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. I found it both enjoyable and interesting and feel I've learned a bit more about Turkey, it's culture and the people. All the locals I encountered were very helpful and hospitable.

Daniel in Morristown, NJ, 2011

I think the tour was a great mixture of large cities and small villages and I really appreciated the chance to meet some Turkish people and have a dialogue with them. Our guide's vast knowledge of Turkey, her history, culture and customs was shared willingly without our feeling lectured.

Meggy in Morgan's Point Resort, TX, 2011

* What is the most spectecular moment for you?

the Blue Mosque and Haiga Sophia area up to midnight and beyond. I will never forget the picture I took of the mineret of the Mosque with a quarter moon to the left of it and rising!

Megan in Mercer Island, WA, 2011

Ephesus was probably the highlight for us.

2011

The hot air balloon ride over Cappadocia! Worth every penny/Euro! It was truly magic! A stretch for our budget but we are so happy that we made the stretch!

Carole in Mukilteo, WA, 2011

The hot air balloon ride was incredible. I would recommend it to anybody.

Ken in Mukilteo, WA, 2011

balloon ride -- sunrise over Cappadocia

George in Castro Valley, CA, 2011

Hot air ballooning in Cappadocia was also amazing.

Alexis in Wolffdene, Queensland, 2011

swimming in the Mediterrean sea.

Curtis in Jacksonville, FL, 2011

There were many spectecular moments on this trip: seeing ancient ruins, meeting warm people, experiencing a Turkish bath, cruising the Bosphorus and Mediterranean. It's hard to narrow it down to just one moment.
