The fact that Hasan is a native of Turkey and is very comfortable sharing his experiences as a Turk was very important to me as I try to understand their politics and culture.
Joseph Belinard,2011
Selcuk's lived up to his excellent reputation.
Henry in Berkeley, CA, 2011
I have never had a tour guide as good as Selcuk. The combination of his organizational skills, problem solving, knowledge of all things Turkish old and new, teaching skills, communication skills and sense of humor are outstanding. He has friends, good friends and very good friends everywhere and he uses them to make our journey much more enjoyable.
Trevor in Berkeley, CA, 2011
Selcuk was an excellent guide in every way. He was very knowledgable, patient in answering our questions, open to suggestions, always available, and able to adjust to any situation. He has a great love for his country and its people. My husband and I feel very priviledged to have been on a tour with him. We are both seasoned travellers and have been to many countries. Turkey is on the top of the list.
Smith in Shelton, CT, 2011
Selcuk is an amazing tour guide and person. He is so well educated and has a wonderful way of communicating. He has so many close connections to the people in the villages and is a very caring person. He taught us so much and in such a fun way. Selcuk is also very creative and a great problem solver!
Katty in Napa, CA, 2011
Selcuk, was our extraordinary guide who was a joy to be with and to learn from his vast knowledge of history and customs. He was definitely a high point in the tour.
Charles in Walnut Creek, CA, 2011
Selcuk was a great leader. He had surprises for us, kept our interest piqued, kept us entertained with a playful sense of humor. was very funny, caring and gave great perspectives of the history of Turkey, culture debunked a lot of myths and i felt we had a more intimate experience with the people of Turkey due to his connections. It seemed that the locals adored him and wanted to accommodate his to our benefit. He treated all of us with respect and tried hard to answer all of our questions and since our group was a mature audience we had a lot.
William in Bellevue, WA, 2011
This trip would not have been the same without Selcuk. His knowledge of the historical, cultural and political aspects of the tour was vast, as was his connection to many of the people we met along our tour. We would not have had the same experiences with someone who did not have the same contacts. I think he did an outstanding job overall.
Walden in Colville, WA, 2011
Our guide was great and very knowledgable in every stop and explained to the group before what we were seeing before we entered.
Joan in Maple Valley, WA, 2011
Hasan our guide was amazing. He was energetic, informed, helpful, funny and patient. He arranged "special" things for us like lunch at a house in Capadocia and a school visit that were special. He would read us the paper each day on the bus, discuss political issues, answer any questions. His background in archeology made him extremely knowledgagle .
Margareth in Delmar, NY, 2011
I think our guide was terrific in every way.

His delightful character will always be remembered for making this tour a most memorable experience.

Selcuk was amazing - he knew eveything. He could answer any question anyone asked) and was always available for us. He was an excellent orator and gave wonderful intros to our stops. He would read us the highlights from Turkish newspapers every morning on the bus (and elaborate if need be on the issue). He was extremely interesting. Please make another Turkey tour so I can travel with him again!!

Our driver, Mehmet, was ourstanding. How he confidently navigated our bus through frantic city traffic, and narrow streets, never getting lost was nothing less than amazing! He was not only an incredible driver, but was always, helpful, pleasant and polite.

Mehmet was an excellent driver. He was always driving in a defensive (postive) way on the highway and was able to manouever the bus in the narrow hilly roads in the cities and towns as if it was a Volkswagon Beatle! Very personable and professional!

Mahmud was a resourceful, skilled driver.
Roy in Berkeley, CA, 2011
Great driver. Safe, entertaining, always a smile on or off the bus; couldn't have found a more responsible person.
Ronald in Shelton, CT, 2011
Mahmut is great. He is a very skillful and careful driver, and we always felt safe. He also was so personable and helpful. He even slept on the bus one night because he had to park the bus away from our hotel due to holiday parades and didn't want anything to happen to our luggage that was left on the bus.
Catherine in Napa, CA, 2011
i want to let you know that our bus driver was exceptional. There was never a moment that i paid any attention to his driving and we were so very comfortable riding on the bus for the long stretches due to his skill.
Mark in Bellevue, WA, 2011
Mr Mahmut was as good a driver as there is. Never felt uncomfortable nor apprehensive at any time. He displayed unbelievable forebearance with some people who always seemed to need something they forgot take out of their suitcase which was in the luggage compartment.
Stephanie in Walnut Creek, CA, 2011
Mehmet was a wonderful driver. He was kind, helpful, generous and skilled. I never had a moment's worry about the exciting tiny streets and awe-inspiring roads - he was a master at the whole thing.

Mehmet was great...so patient and a great driver in Istanbul. I was so glad I did not have to drive. He was steady and not too fast or wreckless. He was so kind and nice, always helping to unload the baggage.

* Could our office have better oriented and prepared you for your tour?
i believe that all of the advice we recieved was more then what we needed but appreciated
Jakob in San Angelo, TX, 2010
I had no enter action with the office so I can't really give an opinion.
Bill in San Angelo, TX, 2010
I think everything was very well organized and communicated. Much more so than with other companies we've travelled with.
Grant in Sugar Grove, IL, 2010
No particular suggestions on this point.
Joanne in Phoenix, AZ , 2010
Just fine. We decide to get to Istanbul via overnight train from Athens, therefore more info on it would have been helpful. Maybe others would like to do the same in the future so you might think about how to do it re getting tickets, visas and sleeping accomodations.
Mike in Lincoln, CA, 2010
The office did a great job.
Philip in Sacramento, CA, 2010
Prior to the Turkey tour, we went to Paris and were concerned at one point that we would not get all the packages and information that was sent in time. Also, when you send a letter requesting information, it would be helpful and reassuring if you followed up by email that you received the voice message (or email).
Maureen in Long Beach, CA, 2010
Orientation and preparation were good.
Brynna in Denver, CO, 2010
No, I think your office have done a great job.

They were there to answer questions, and I never felt that someone could not answer them.
Andrew in Oakland, CA, 2010
Your office provided everything I needed.
Adam in Oceanport, NJ, 2010
I think it would be wise to share that most 'normal' transactions are done with cash - only big items could be done with VISA.So be prepared to have money on you at all times.
Michael in Calgary, AB, 2010
The provided materials and resources were very helpful. My girlfriend even listened to them while we were in Turkey to get a better sense of what we were up to. She found them on her own!
Hrant in Mount Vernon, WA, 2010
The office was fantastic.
Hugo in Scottsdale, AZ, 2010
Excellent work by your office
Dale in Lake Forest Park, WA, 2010
It would be nice to have a better guide book or maps of Istanbul.
Madeline in Napa, CA, 2010
I was well prepared!
David in Allentown, PA, 2010

George in Mt View, CA, 2010
* Do you have any more comments about your tour?
The maps helped us orient ourselves. We actually had to think on this tour which was very good. Some tour companies only give one opinion questionnaire per couple. You actually let both partners respond. Thank you.
Frank in Webster, NY, 2011
I concur in the more detailed observations that my wife wrote. Very enjoyable and very good value. I would heartily recommend it to anyone in good health who is interested in seeing Turkey.
We would definitely take another tour and would be anxious to see if anything could top this one.
Vickie in Jackson, WY, 2011
This was my first time traveling off the continent, and I am glad I made this choice. I loved Turkiye, and only regretted coming home. We've learned an incredible amount of history, culture, and international travel skills-well worth our money.
Angeline in Sedro Woolley, WA, 2011
I know as I review the trip and tell folks about it, I may see things a little differently, but in the thrill of the recent experience and the jet-lag.I would have liked to keep going, tho perhaps at a slower pace, to eastern Turkey or the coast. As it is, I probably won't return until a few other spots have been visited.
Mary Schlimann,2011
This tour exceeded our expectations. The sites, accomodations, food and tour guides all couldn't have been better. We are very happy that we chose this tour and hope to do more.
Bob Crunard,2011
I have recommended it to family and friends as an outstanding adventure.
Cathleen in North Bend, WA, 2011
Sorry, I do not have time to elaborate more. I came home feeling thoroughly fulfilled and ready to return to my office and home life.
Elias in Seattle, WA, 2011
It exceeded my expectations.
Jack in Lake Stevens, WA, 2011
Glad we did it!
Bill in Arvada, CO, 2011
* What is the most spectecular moment for you?
One spectecular moment was going to Capadocia and I enjoyed going to the Carpet Factory and having lunch at a village woman's home.
My spectecular moment was visiting the underground city of Derinkuyu. It boggles the mind to know that this city held thousands of people in the 7th-9th century and that the inhabitants could actually live underground for as long as 3 years. It is a site that is hard to explain to people that haven't seen it with their one eyes.
Katherine in Macon, GA, 2011
Both the cistern and Topakapi Palace in Istanbul were spectacular.
Christine in Vancouver, WA, 2011
Turkey was so much more than I ever expected. I have been wanted to visit Turkey for a while now, for reasons that are not really tangible. The culture, of course, because it seemed so different than my own. I had no idea all the ancient history I would learn, I wish I had read up on it all before leaving.
Caroline in Washington, DC, 2011
Cappadocia was by far my favorite .
Anne in Powder Springs, GA, 2011
Cappadocia and Ephesus.Baloon ride.
Matthew in Redwood City, CA, 2011
So much of what we saw in Turkey was wonderful that there no particular moment that stands out.
Christ in Redwood City, CA, 2011
Hot air balloon ride in Cappadocia - clear blue sky, perfect winds, photo opportunity, always wanted to take a hot air ballon ride
Bob in Springfield, OR, 2011
We loved the balloon ride over Cappadocia. That was lifetime memorable. Loved the boat trip around Istanbul.
