Selcuk was a fantastic guide. His quick wit and excellent sense of humor were a delight to all of us. Not a day went by when he didn't have us laughing and learning at the same time. His network of friends and his ability to think on his feet were remarkable, as evidenced by our visit to the country primary school. It seemed like we made friends all along our route because of the people he already knew or met along the way.
Christopher in Kalispell, MT, 2008
There is nothing we can add to Selcuk's expertise, desire to make us all Turks, and constant sense of humor.
Robert in LaCanada, CA, 2008
Excellent. Selcuk is a gem. He has innate leadership and management skills. I cannot believe how well this young man communicated, made decisions and was always full of energy. He used humor (appropriately) and a very down-to-earth style to keep us working as a group.
William in Pacific Grove, CA, 2008
The guide, Selcuk, was just outstanding in every respect. I was extremely impressed with not only his knowledge of the history and culture of his own country, but his understanding of other cultures and his grasp of the political context of history and culture. In addition, Selcuk had exceptional English language skills, including American idioms, and delivered his information with warmth, humor and sensitivity. Finally, Selcuk was so thoroughly personable that he became essentially a friend to all of us in the tour group.
Lee in San Diego, CA, 2008
Selcuk was a wonderful guide who gave us a window into his beloved Turkey. He arranged for many special experiences and always had a sense of humor. There are a few people left in Turkey that he doesn't know, but not many. Thanks, Selcuk, for making so many good memories!
Leslie in Decatur, GA, 2008
We could not have had a better guide. Selcuk's knowledge is amazing, his sense of humor great and his attention to every detail made the trip a delight. I cannot think of any way to improve.
Louis in College Station, TX, 2008
Ayse was a marvelous guide and gracious person. She managed to accommodate a fairly diverse group of people and did it with respectful humor. Her knowledge of history, art, and cultural practices was excellent. I especially valued how Ayse connected history along a time-line and across locations. She was well spoken while teaching us about her country and orienting us to the activities of the day.
Paul in Portland, OR, 2008
Ayse was an excellent tour guide!! She did a great job of orienting us to each location. She was very knowlegeable about Turkish politics, religion, and culture. She was an excellent translator which gave us great insight as to what the locals had to say and I never had a problem understanding her english or her intent. She loves her country very much but also has a sense of humor about it when appropriate.
Mark in Groves, TX, 2008
Ayse was always punctual, dependable and cheerful. She always looked after our welfare and interests. Enjoyed her sense of humor. She kept us abreast of the country's current events that were interesting.
Scott in Honolulu, HI, 2008
All supurlative skills
Archibald in Bellevue, WA, 2008
Hasan's knowledge of history and current events were outstanding. I think as the tour progressed he had a better feel for his group and his orientations improved significantly. I think he would benefit at some point and time to visit the US and gain perspective.
Raymond in Portland, OR, 2008
The fact that Hasan is a native of Turkey and is very comfortable sharing his experiences as a Turk was very important to me as I try to understand their politics and culture.
Joseph Belinard,2008
Selcuk's lived up to his excellent reputation.
Henry in Berkeley, CA, 2008
I have never had a tour guide as good as Selcuk. The combination of his organizational skills, problem solving, knowledge of all things Turkish old and new, teaching skills, communication skills and sense of humor are outstanding. He has friends, good friends and very good friends everywhere and he uses them to make our journey much more enjoyable.
Trevor in Berkeley, CA, 2008

Super! I also enjoyed his dry, subtle sense of humor.
Douglas in Denver, CO, 2008
Mehmet was great!
Christopher in Denver, CO, 2008
Mehmet was an excellent driver. He got us through the tighest spots, going both forward and backward! He helped us with our Turkish words for the day and was a pleasure to be around.
Jack in Macon, GA, 2008
He amazed me with his driving. He could get that bus in places that I would not try in a small van! The bus was always stopless inside and out not to mention how careful he was with out suitcases. And there was always chilled water for us - and that is a job in itself. He also has a cute wit and pleasant smile for everyone.
Nancy in St Simon's Island, GA, 2008
Mehmet was tremendous... highly skilled and very accomodating!
Leonardo in Vancouver, WA, 2008
Mehmet was wonderful. He made me feel safe throughout the whole trip.

I that he was a real professional. I felt that he was careful as well as very skillful
Ted in Redwood City, CA2008
Outstanding in every way. He was a very careful driver, took excellent care of the bus, inside and outside, and tried very hard to get us parked in a convenient location to get off and on in some very difficult places and traffic conditions.
Percy in Redwood City, CA, 2008
our driver was the best!

Your office staff was very helpful to me pre-tour. We had to change our dates a couple of times and they were unfailingly pleasant and helpful. When I called or emailed I got immediate replies. You have an excellent staff!
Lauren in Beaverton, OR, 2006
You all done well.
Lee in Gaithersburg, MD, 2006
Perhaps a little better description of areas in Istanbul away from Old Town. We would have probably spent more time in areas where "real" people live before joining the tour.
Frances in Selah, WA, 2006
Nope -- all was good!
Debra in Centennial, CO, 2006
Your office was very helpful in helping us plan for our tour and for the extra days we spent in Turkey.
Raymond in Edmonds, WA, 2006
I should have done more reading describing the sites we were to visit.
William in Vancouver, WA
You could have told us to practice brushing our teeth with bottled water!

Lisa in Olympia, WA, 2007

Veronica in Bellingham, WA, 2007
It was much more than I had expected. A great value and a super experience.
Paul in Bellingham, WA, 2007
I really enjoyed the tour and I feel I now have a greater understanding of Turkey. I think it's important for Americans to venture out beyond their comfort zone to experience other cultures. The people in Turkey were warm and welcoming. The scenery and sites were amazing and the food and dancing was superb!
Peggy in FPO, AE, 2007
This was a great tour. Well organized, and with life memories. Some of my critiques relate to this being not the usual travel experience. It went much more smoothly than I expected. I feel that this tour is very valuable for an American to take: for the perspective on Islam, on History and on current events. Moreover, it is a lot of fun!
Berry in Anacortes, WA, 2007
It was exciting visiting all wonderful sites and seeing the landscape by bus. I loved Turkey and would recommend it to everyone.
Loraine in Fresno, CA, 2007
* What is the most spectecular moment for you?
Turkey has great scenery, ruins, history, art, culture, and architecture.
Isabella in Decatur, GA, 2008
The hospitality and friendliness of the Turkish people made the trip very special. I was often invited during a morning walk for a cup of coffee. Families and students readily gave permission to take a photo. I am making a special point to share those photos with friends as part of my vacation album .
Joshua in Davenport, IL, 2008
Walking up to a view of the Mediterranean in Antalya that first evening - the light was spectacular at that moment to silhouette the landscape
Patricia in Portland, OR, 2008
The whole trip was spectecular but here are a few of my favorites: Spice Market, cruise up the Bosphorus Strait, visiting, Mediterranean boat cruise, Ephesus.
Emma in Groves, TX, 2008
Walking down the road in Ephesus and knowing that Paul had walked that same road. I'm not a student of biblical history, but this really made it come alive for me.
Herman in Renton, WA, 2008
our guide was very helpful, informative and friendly
Beatrice in Bellevue, WA, 2008
There were two things that turned out to be much more interesting then I had anticipated. One was the Roman Cistern in Istanbul and the other was the visit to the caravanserai.
