Hasan was amazing. His enthusiasm for sharing his country and culture made every moment special. It was obvious that he truly cared about us learing about Turkey and the Turkish people. He certainly set a standard for guides that I don't think I will ever see again.

Hasan was both personable and extremely knowledgeable. We never tired of his talks and he seemed to strike a good balance of informing without preaching or boring. He also showed a great deal of pride in showing us his home country and pointing out very interesting facts that we might have missed en route. We could not imagine a tour leader better at leading this tour than Hasan!

It was toward the end of a long season for Hasan, and his wife had just had a baby. Understandably, he probably wanted to be home with his family. He sometimes had sort of a military, "by the numbers" style -- but he did keep us on schedule, and we saw everything we wanted to see. His comments about the Turkish character were objective and very interesting. He's an excellent guide with a great sense of humor who knows how to deal with Americans.

Only criticism is that his formal presentations seemed to lack organization and to ramble around a bit. An organizational outline might have helped him. Nothing serious.

Hasan runs an excellent tour and is clearly very knowledgeable. In trying to teach us a little bit of the language, he proceeds far too quickly for English speakers who, typically, are very unfamiliar with Turkish. He could make the lessons much simplier by just teaching us a few common words and include our practice and participation in the lessons.

Our driver got us out of tight places smoothly. Having water on board the bus saved us a lot of time. He also made sure we took scenic by-ways if we had time.

Mustapha went on roads that defied a large tour bus and maneuvered with ease. It seemed like the group was at ease with his driving. I wish there had not been a language barrier. Memed at times asked his opinion about things and then translared for the group. I liked that.
